Second volume of German conceptual artist Hans-Peter Feldmann's seminal artist's book, a visual inventory of modern mass culture imagery. Born in Düsseldorf in 1941, Feldmann began collecting stamps and cutting images from magazines into scrapbooks as a child. After becoming dissatisfied with painting while studying in Linz, he returned to his early habits of collecting and classification. This visual, text-free inventory comprises hundreds of black-and-white photos appropriated from newspapers, advertisements, films, pornography, photojournalism, amateur snapshots, scientific imagery, among other sources. The series, which began in 1994, ran to seven volumes, concluding in 2021. Some warping, dampstaining, soiling and rubbing to wraps. Good. Item #13411
