First edition of American photographer Gary Greens monograph capturing the zenith of the New York punk and post-punk music scene. Over the course of a decade, Green immersed himself in the downtown music community at fabled venues such CBGB and Max's Kansas City while working as a commercial photographers assistant in midtown by day, giving him access to a studio and darkroom to develop his personal work. Titled after a Velvet Underground track, this photobook contains images of the eras most prominent figures including Lou Reed, Debbie Harry, Anya Phillips, Andy Warhol, Patti Smith, Tom Waits, Richard Hell, Johnny Thunders, and others.
