Authored by Times writer Jeanette Cain, the volume contains a chronology of fashion as it was reported in the newspaper throughout the 20th century, a gallery of international and American designers, retailers, fashion-makers, and textile workers, and contemporary advertising. Also housed in the original cardstock envelope is a printed list of credits for the program and a printed bifolium of list of credits for "Taste Ladies and Ink-Stained Wretches," a short film about the history of fashion journalism by Susan Warms Dryfoos.
