First edition of Los Angeles-based artist Eve Fowler’s photobook of male sex workers. Her second book, this collection comprises photos captured on the streets of New York’s West Village and Santa Monica Boulevard (often called "S/M Blvd") and "school portraits" of hustlers captured between 1992 and '98. In interviews, Fowler has stated the project was as a means of navigating her own queer identity within a sense of shared societal "otherness," while also noting she wanted to evoke a sense of nostalgia for 1970s queer culture.
