Special issue of the Mercury Art Group’s journal, commemorating the centenary of the birth of Austrian philosopher and Anthroposophist Rudolf Steiner, with an autograph note signed from contributor Anne Stockton Goodwin to Gotham Book Mart founder Frances Steloff. Based at the Rudolf Steiner House in London, the Mercury Arts Group published books and journals on Steiner's spiritual ideas, directly engaging his ideas and writings on art, education, medicine, spirituality, and more. This issue of the journal contains essays on Wassily Kandinsky, action painting, the role of color and light in modern painting, New York galleries (by Stockton), and more. Illustrated with a color frontispiece by Hilde Boos-Hamburger. The note from Stockton, on a card from the Rudolf Steiner School in New York, is addressed to "Miss Steloff," and dated January 28, 1962.
