Founder Jimmy Glenn, who appears in one of the first pictures, opened the gym in 1976 and trained the likes of Wilfred Gomez, Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes, and Muhammad Ali. With text by New York journalist Pete Hamill. Inscribed by Goodman to half-title: "To Max, / My best - / John Goodman / 2/99."
