Inscribed first edition of Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave’s debut book. Published at the beginning of his ascendency in the late 1980s, this collection comprises poetry, lyrics, and miscellanea written in his formative years as the frontman for the Birthday Party, during his collaborations with experimental German post-punk band Die Haut, his sojourns in Berlin and London during a period of intense heroin use, and through the first three albums he released with the Bad Seeds. Also includes a selection of one-page plays he wrote with Lydia Lunch. Inscribed by Cave to epigraph page: "To Eric / love / Nick Cave." Author photo to rear flap by Bleddyn Butcher.
