Dash Snow. Selected Works from 2001 to 2009

Zurich/Geneva: Nieves/Innen, 2014. 1st Edition. Octavo, publisher’s stapled illustrated wraps.

First edition of Nieves & Innen’s 2014 zine comprising a selection of works by late American artist and provocateur Dash Snow. Deemed the "downtown Baudelaire" by the New York Times, Snow is known for his provocative and explicit documentation of youth culture, addiction, and hedonism in New York during the 2000s. After he tragically died of a drug overdose in 2009, just ten days shy of his 28th birthday, he left behind a substantial archive of work. This commemoration of Snow's life and work comprises reproductions of his collages (in which he famously used his own semen as a material), photos, Polaroids, and graffiti he produced as a teenager. Fine. Scarce. Item #8181
