Artist’s book by American-born East London gallerist Maureen Paley. Produced during a prolific period for artist’s books, this commentary on the act of looking comprises visual assessments–observation, listening comprehension, and evaluation–on three found photos taken within a domestic setting. The book was produced shortly after Paley graduated from the Royal College of Art and four years prior to opening her first gallery, which played a pivotal role in the Young British Artists movement.
