Details. March 1990
New York: Details Publishing Corp. 1990. 1st Edition. Quarto, publisher's photo-illustrated wraps.
March 1990 "Spring Fashion" issue of editor Annie Flanders's famed monthly New York fashion and nightlife magazine. Flanders's 1980s downtown bible was bought by Condé Nast in 1988, with Flanders retained as editor for a few more years, before a complete makeover as a mainstream men's magazine. This issue captures the tension of that transitional period, as advertising pages for major brands swell and share space with niche labels and locales, and scenes from louche nights out abound. This issue features a massive 123-page international spring fashion collections feature shot by Bill Cunningham, with major spreads on Margiela, Alaïa, Gaultier, Yohji Yamamoto, Miyake, Comme des Garçons, and many, many more. Also features an interview with David Lynch in the run-up to Twin Peaks. Light rubbing wraps, else fine. Item #7492
