Emporio Armani. Semestrale Magazine. No.4-Europa
Florence: Editoriale Tosca, 1991. Folio, publisher's illustrated stiff paper wraps.
Fourth issue of Georgio Armani’s semi-annual Emporio Armani magazine. Originally conceived of as a catalog for the brand, the magazine quickly evolved into a luxurious brand-defining element of the Armani universe under the direction of the designer’s younger sister, Rosanna. Each issue focused on a single theme that could show the clothing “in context” as an international lifestyle brand, shot by emerging and established photographers, alongside editorial stories and reviews. This issue loosely uses Europe as its backdrop and contains photos by long-time Armani collaborator Aldo Fallai, guides to Berlin, Milan, Copenhagen, London, Paris, and Madrid; profiles on Wim Wenders, Riccardo Muti, Miou-Miou, Camilo José Cela, and the Beatles; perforated postcards of Armani models. Rubbing and wear to wraps, tears around staple-binding, some nibbles to lower corner. Good. Item #7350
