SIR Men's International Fashion. Winter 86/7. No. 6 October 1985

Amsterdam: International Textiles Publication, 1985. Quarto, publisher's illustrated stiff paper wraps.

Late issue of the historic and influential men’s fashion trade magazine Sir. Published from the early 1950s through 1986, the magazine provided a comprehensive survey of men’s apparel and style forecasts at the beginning of each season, often prioritizing cloth samples and fashion illustrations supplemented with press photos. As an international publication, each issue contains English, French, and German and generally avoided patriotic American bias, perhaps to its demise, as Sir failed to meaningfully embrace jeans and streetwear in the 70s and 80s. Includes analysis with photos of Summer 1986 collections by Dior, Gaultier, Versace, Miayke, and other designers; a buyer’s guide to best selling styles illustrated with black-and-white croquis drawings; forecasts for Winter 86/87; other various fashion editorials. With a cover illustration by Wim Ewals. Some wear to wraps; airmail and address sticker to upper wrap. Very good. Uncommon. Item #6836
