British author and art critic Sacheverell Sitwell’s guidebook to the temples of Cambodia, India, Thailand, and Nepal. A prolific travel writer and cultural pioneer, Sitwell penned over forty books detailing his aesthetic adventures. This book is an account of his trip to the religious ruins of Angkor along with Bangkok, Kathmandu, and Ceylon. Sachaverell was the longest living member of the Sitwell trio, although he worked in the shadows of his elder siblings, Edith and Osbert, for most of his life. The family rose to prominence in London society after World War I, publishing anthologies of new poetry and organizing art exhibitions featuring Modigliani and Picasso. With index. Originally published in the UK in 1962. Faint toning to board edges; some edgewear to unclipped dust jacket. Very good. Item #5858
