Exhibition catalog for a November 1974 show of work by influential Italian-Argentinian painter, sculptor and theorist Fontana, showcasing a number of his concetto spaziale paintings, monochromatic surfaces disrupted by patterns of holes or slashes to the canvas. Illustrated with 26 full-page color and black-and-white plates and photos, and with a facsimile reprint of Fontana's 1946 Manifesto Blanco, the founding document of Spazialismo, or Spatialism, a post-war movement that sought to synthesize color, movement, sound, space and time in works of art. Preface by Fontana's wife Teresita and essay by curator Sorenson; with a biographical chronology, checklist of works, and bibliography. Text in Spanish.
