Featuring over 5000 examples of ancient, colonial, folk, and modern Mexican art, the exhibition was the largest collection of Mexican art ever assembled in the US. Illustrated with color and black-and-white plates, maps, and chronological charts. Text in English and Spanish; with brief biographies, bibliography, and index. Laid in is MoMA bulletin 4, vol. vii, on Mexican painter José Clemente Orozco. For the first ten ten days of the exhibit, Orozco live-painted a mural in front of visitors of the museum.
