Photo-book adaptation of the film Patti Smith Dream of Life, which was the recipient of the “Excellence in Cinematography Award: Documentary” at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. A decade in the making and named after Smith’s 1988 album of the same name, Dream of Life is narrated by the singer herself. The book adaptation includes extensive stills from the documentary as well as a transcript of all of Smith’s narration. Patti Smith entered the New York City punk-rock scene with the success of her debut album Horses in 1975, and continued to exist as a key member of the NYC creative ecosystem through her music, novels, and poetry. Filmmaker Steven Sebring works as a fashion photographer and director for publications such as Vogue and Vanity Fair. Light wear to boards, blue sticker to lower board. Nearly fine. Item #3627
