YOU CAN LOOK, our series of sidewalk-exhibits in the storefront window next to Left Bank Books (41 Perry Street), is up 24/7 from June 4th through July 5th, 2021. After Dark is the sexiest magazine from the 1970s you’ve probably never heard of. In words and photos, it profiled an array of performers from the worlds of music, dance, film, Broadway and beyond. Ostensibly for everyone, it stealthily mainstreamed gay culture and aesthetics in the years between Stonewall and the AIDS crisis. Come visit!
