Brooklyn: Dry New York Studios Inc., 1982. Small quarto, publisher's stapled illustrated self-wraps.
Final issue of short-lived New York bimonthly punk music fanzine. Created and published by a group of art school students as a provocative response to Leonard Koren's LA-based Wet: The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing, the zine reported on events and phenomena within the flourishing punk, no wave, and hardcore music scenes during the late 1970s and early 80s. Each graphics-heavy, discordantly assembled cut-and-paste issue highlighted album, band, and show reviews while also presenting photography, poetry, prose, and art by anonymous contributors in the characteristic "messthetic" montage style of the era. Issue #14 features articles, blurbs on pioneering punk groups such as SS Decontrol, DOA, Pulsallama, Dead Kennedys, Boomtown Rats, Kraut, Reagan Youth, Gang of Four, and more. Explosively illustrated throughout in black-and-white. Some rubbing to wraps, with small tear to upper wrap near base of spine. Very good. Item #3274
