New York: Butternick Fashion Marketing/American Can Company, 1971. Octavo, publisher's pictorially illustrated stiff paper wraps.
How-to manual on sewing, stitching, and patterning with furs and other fur-like materials, issued as part of Vogue Patterns’ Everything About Sewing series, which includes volumes on knits, leather, and swimwear, among other materials. The series was published by the Butterick Fashion Marketing Company, which distributed the first graded sewing patterns and released magazines containing both patterns and fashion news, including Ladies Quarterly of Broadway Fashions in 1867 and The Metropolitan in 1868, meant to market and sell Butterick patterns via mail order. The present copy includes accompanying illustrations and patterns on every page. Light wear to wraps, rubbing to edges and marker to upper wrap. Very good. Item #3199
