[Sticky Fingers Promotional Poster]

[London: Rolling Stones Records, 1971]. Photo-illustrated poster on heavy stock textured paper (measures 35" x 23"), folded as issued.

Large promotional poster for Sticky Fingers ("Brown Sugar," "Bitch," "Wild Horses"), the first full-length release of the newly formed Rolling Stones Records, created after the band's contract with Decca Records expired. The color photo, by rock and celebrity photographer David Montgomery, features the mostly pantless boys (save for Bill Wyman, inversely topless) posing against a blank backdrop, each holding copies of the zippered crotch shot-fronted album, famously designed by Andy Warhol, over their own privates. Notably, the poster also bears the newly minted "hot lips" logo for the band in the lower right corner, one of its earliest appearances anywhere. Folded as issued. Fine. Item #2968
