[Amsterdam]: Reinaert de Vos, c.1975]. Bootleg lyric book. Quarto, black blinder's tape over stapled illustrated glossy paper wraps.
"I'm not a prophet or a stone age man, / just a mortal with potential of a superman, I'm living on.... / If I don't explain what you ought to know, / you can tell me all about it on the next Bardo." Mimeograph lyric book for all the songs from David Bowie's studio albums, from his self-titled debut (1967) through Young Americans (1975), containing 98 songs in all. Presumably made by a fan for limited circulation, the songbook contains a contents page listing the albums and an alphabetical index of song titles, and bears a stippled black-and-white cover drawing depicting Bowie sans make-up but apparently from the Aladdin Sane period, signed in the print by "H. Schipper '75." Toning to page edges, a few small ink stains to upper wrap, light soiling overall. Near fine. Rare (OCLC lists one copy, in the Bibliotheek Universiteit van Amsterdam). Item #2195
