Photo-record of artist Farrell's June 2005 visit to The War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, memorializing the toll on the Vietnamese of "The American War": "Even though many of the images were familiar to me, seeing them all together and presented from the Vietnamese perspective was very striking. It made me realize that I didn't know much about the details of the war that had consumed the U.S. for most of my early childhood." Farrell photographed every photo and text description in the exhibit, over 200, with his digital camera. He later reassembled the exhibit at various US venues, including the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at M.I.T. and White Columns in New York City. The book is compiled from roughly half of the photos he took. In color and black-and-white. From an edition of 2000 unnumbered copies. Publisher's spring 2006 postcard list laid in. Fine. Item #125
