New York: Bantam Books, 1978. 1st Edition. 12mo, publisher's photo-illustrated stiff paper wraps.
Mass market paperback original of Sloman's New Journalism account of Dylan's legendary 1975-76 Rolling Thunder Revue tour. With 57 North American dates, the tour straddled the release of Dylan's 1976 studio album Desire, and featured a rotating cast of musicians, poets, writers, filmmakers and others, including: Joan Baez, Robbie Robertson, Sam Shepard, T-Bone Burnett, Mick Ronson, Scarlet Rivera, Allen Ginsberg, Ronnee Blakely, Joni Mitchell, Bobby Neuwirth, and Kinky Friedman. Sloman, who went by the alias "Ratso," inserts himself as a character into the rambling epic. Inscribed by Sloman in ballpoint on the dedication page: "2/8/91. For – /May you stay/forever young!/Best, Larry 'Ratso' Sloman." With 16-page insert of black-and-white photos, many by rock photographer Bob Gruen. Spine creased, light creasing and scuffing to wraps. Very good. Item #107
