New York: Paul Kasmin Gallery, 2002. 1st Edition. Quarto, publisher's yellow plastic spiral binding, thick boards stamped in black, yellow and orange.
Collection of black-and-white photos from the late 60s to early 80s by the "Godfather of U.S. paparazzi culture" Galella, taking by surprise the likes of Jacqueline Onassis, Diana Vreeland and Mick Jagger. Andy Warhol praised his photographs, saying "My idea of a good picture is one that's in focus and of a famous person doing something unfamous. It's being in the right place at the wrong time. That's why my favorite photographer is Ron Galella." Published in conjunction with a 2002 exhibition at Paul Kasmin Gallery. Fine. Item #1113
