Planet Push Pinis the latest installment in YOU CAN LOOK, our series of sidewalk-exhibits in the storefront window next door to the shop. The exhibit runs 24/7, October 1st – 31st. The influential graphic design collective Push Pin Studios had its heyday in the 1960s and 70s. Founders Milton Glaser, Seymour Chwast, Reynolds Ruffin and Edward Sorel developed a visual language where graphics didn’t simply illustrate copy. Rather, design was synonymous with content. With their flagship publication, Push Pin Graphic, the studio created an experimental space free of client demands and politics, allowing for full creative autonomy. Come visit!
